Peekay Incorporated is an award winning, rapidly growing specialty retailer based in Washington. We offer a wide range of products through our Retail, Wholesale & Internet divisions.

We are currently seeking an experienced STORE MANAGER for our FLAGSHIP TUKWILA LOCATION. Our new Store Manager will be responsible for the development of the sales team; managing and maintaining excellence in customer service, merchandise presentation/control, and operating standards in such a manner as to maximize sales resulting in meeting or exceeding the company goals and objectives.

Main Duties/Responsibilities Include:

  • Generating sales while maintaining strong customer service relations, operating in a team selling environment.
  • Controlling costs by ensuring adequate supplies, forms, and signs are ordered without creating overstock or waste.
  • Keeping current with product assortment/knowledge, merchandise promotions, test product, and advertisements, company directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Cash management including balancing, banking, over & shorts, POS transactions, opening and closing & reconciling cash.
  • Manages sales team by assigning duties to employees and scheduling work hours, break periods, and time off requests to ensure the proper level of customer service.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations and development of employees.
  • Responsible for working with the Loss Prevention department to ensure proper Loss Prevention processes are followed by all team members.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively lead a team
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Computer Skills and knowledge of the POS system.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from 2 year College or Technical School
  • Requires minimum 3-4 years of retail experience; 2-3 of them in a leadership role.
  • Experience in running a retail store in excess of one million dollars annually and supervision of a minimum of 15 employees.
