We are currently searching for a motivated Purchasing Assistant - Lingerie to work in our corporate office. Our new Purchasing Assistant will report to and be responsible for assisting the Lingerie Buyer in the daily management and growth of our lingerie department. Under direction from the Lingerie Buyer, as our new Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for...

  • Data entry relating to sku setup and new vendors
  • Prepare & executes data entry of purchase order documents throughout the company.
  • Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
  • System maintenance of all vendor and retail pricing.
  • Maintaining status of backorder report by contacting vendors for updates on PO’s or expediting as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory software; MS EXCEL and MS WORD.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Other skills and abilities: Ability to work alone or as a team member; Ability to work varied hours/days including occasional overtime during peak sales periods; Ability to multitask.

Other qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Requires consistent access to reliable transportation for the purpose of commuting on short notice to stores within assigned district/region.
